Mabuda Guest Farm is an ideal place for horse riding. From open fields to forest trails, come and experience the beauty of the Lubombo Mountains from the back of a horse!

Each of our horses are unique and very precious to us. Our guides will do their best to match you with the right horse for your ride.

Our Rides

Pony rides and out-walks: the perfect option for beginners, our guides will walk beside you as you ride to ensure your safety and enjoyment of the experience!

Pony rides (5-30minutes):

Out-walks (30 minutes – 1 hour):

Outrides: if you have had some experience riding, this is the option for you. Our guides will set a suitable pace based on the experience of the group.

Weight Restrictions

The maximum weight restriction for our rides is 85 kg. We reserve the right to weigh guests before departure to ensure they are within the limit.

Indemnity and Insurance

One of our guides will be riding with you at all times to ensure your safety and enjoyment of the ride. Helmets are provided and we require you to wear them for the duration of your ride. You will need to sign an indemnity form and ensure that you have sufficient travel insurance that covers horse riding before you leave. We also request that you make us aware of any medical conditions before your ride.

Ride departure times

Book with your friendly receptionist, but here is a basic guide.

April - October (cooler weather and less chance of thunderstorms): 7am, 9am or 2pm.

November - March (days can get hot, we recommend a morning ride to avoid the heat or being rained out by a passing thundercloud!): 7am, 9am and 3pm

Please arrive 15 minutes before your ride to maximize your time in the saddle. We hope you enjoy your ride with us!
