Do I need a visa for Swaziland?
Nationals of South Africa, USA, Canada, Britain and most other EU Countries are automatically given a visitors stamp in their passports at the border and do not require a separate visa. Residents of other countries should contact the nearest Swaziland Consulate or Embassy for information about visas.
Can I explore?
Yes, you are free to wander the farm. Please leave all gates as you find them. You can picnic at the lily pond where braai wood is available. Please leave no litter. A map is available in the folder in your cottage.
Will I be able to watch the milking?
Yes! Milking is from 05h30 to 07h30 and 14h00 to 15h30 each day. On entering the dairy, please step in the tray of antiseptic as a Foot and Mouth Disease precaution.
What is that valley down there?
That is the Nyetane valley and the village and mill of Big Bend can be seen. The distant mountains are named Ingwavuma, KZN province, RSA.
How does the Foot and Mouth line affect me?
You will not be able to take any uncooked meat out the FMD line (half way up the hill.) Good meat is available in Simunye, Manzini and Big Bend.
What is the size of the farm?
About 1100 Hectares or 2500 acres. Only 85 Ha are cropped and 20 Ha have kikuyu grazing paddocks. The rest is bush and savannah extending 10km down the ridge. The farm grows maize for eating and produces milk.
